show off some of the most breath-taking design concepts that Architects come up with. They are great additions to the visual amenities of their local areas! They are also the avant-garde of the future along with their recording of our past history!
The first of these to be listed here is the University of Aberdeen New Library, Scotland.
It is a 15,500 square meter building to cater for 14,000 students. It has 1,200 reading spaces for the books in the archives, historical collections and a room for rare and valuable books. Great for students to learn and to gain 21st. Century learning experience.

This is a completely different design concept and blends beautifully into the surrounding landscape. Access for visitors is through side doors so that those reading and researching in the central area aren’t disturbed.

Now on to the Cooroy Library, Australia.
This one is comparatively small being just 1,600 square metres and is a Public Library for a small town. It has a technology centre, training rooms for IT,community rooms, community lounge, reading areas and café. From the photo it is obvious that part of the design concept was to get kids interested in books! It integrates into the town linking the existing art gallery, main city street, recreational park, and the rural industry areas.
